Fire Science Technology Degree Program - Lake Land College
        The Fire Science Program has been approved and will begin in the Spring Semester - January 2008

Tentative class curriculum:  Fire Behavior & Combustion, Principles of Emergency Services,
Occupational Safety & Health, Building Construction, Fire Prevention, Fire Investigation I. 
      These classes will be offered in the evenings (6:00 pm - 9:00 pm) at the Lake Land College Campus (Mattoon),
the Lake Land College Kluthe Center (Effingham) and Paris, IL (High School).  These locations may be
subject to change per the Instructor's request to relocate to a fire station. 
     Future calsses will be:  Fire Protection Systems, Hydraulics and Water System, Legal Aspects of Fire Science,
Fire Administrator I, Fire Investigations II, Strategy & Tactics, Hazardous Materials Chemistry I
The entire program for an Associates Degree OR a certificate for Fire Officer I will be in the upcoming
Lake Land College catalog.
