The MABAS 54 Primary and Secondary Dispatch Centers are well versed in the Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS). Their extensive training and years of experience have resulted in improved communications between the MABAS 54 members on the scene and off.
The MABAS 54 Chiefs and Dispatch Center Managers, comprise the Box Card Committee and are tasked on an annual basis to review the Division's Box Cards to ensure that response procedures and the necessary resources are on the box cards.
March 12, 2013 - On behalf of the MABAS Division 54 Chiefs, Division President/ Chief Joe Holomy presented two Dispatchers, Cindy Thies and Danielle Newman with a Certificate of Accomodation stating: "In recognition of your proactive actions taken on January 28, 2013, whereby you displayed exceptional professional skill and conduct while functioning as the Primary Dispatch Center for the mutual aid box alarm involving the Dieterich Fire Protection District. As a result of your actions, mutual aid companies were dispatched to the call in an extremely efficient manner, thereby enhancing the safety of the emergency responders and the citizens they serve."
