I.C.E
“In Case of Emergency” Contact Program
A new program could put the ability to save your own
life right at your fingertips. There are many situations
where people are not able to
communicate their medical
condition, which is why the ICE (“In Case of Emergency”)
program is so important.
Emergency services personnel urge people to type the
letters ICE (“In Case of Emergency”) into their cell phone
directory along with an
emergency contact number. When
entering the call letters “ICE”, enter a space in front
of the letters and the number will go to the top of your
directory, making it easier for emergency personnel to
find it. Then in the event of an emergency, rescue personnel
will know whom to call first.
If you have any questions about the program, contact
your local emergency service agency for more details.
